Three vehicles destroyed in Klang petrol station fire

PETALING JAYA: Swift response by a team of firefighters prevented widespread damage after a blaze erupted at a petrol station on Jalan Kapar in Klang near here, but were unable to prevent three vehicles from going up in smoke.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Mohd Sani Harul said a team arrived at the scene six minutes after a distress call was received at 5.10pm Thursday.

Sani said the fire ravaged 40% of the petrol station and completely destroyed three vehicles.

Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities due to the blaze.

The team managed to fully extinguish the flames at around 5.18pm.The cause and extent of the damage is still being investigated, he said.
