Two cars in flames after one jumps red light in Setia Alam

SHAH ALAM: Two cars were completely destroyed in a fire following a collision at a traffic light junction in Setia Alam today. The incident, which took place at 3.50pm at the Persiaran Setia Prima junction, occurred when one of the cars ran a red light. The car then slammed into another vehicle which was making a right turn at the junction. Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shafien Mamat said flames engulfed the engine compartments and spread rapidly to both cars. Shafien said both drivers, who are in their 20s, escaped unhurt. They have yet to lodge police reports on the incident.
